Robert J. Broadwater
Managing Director
Robert Broadwater founded Broadwater & Associates in 2006 following 20 years as an investment banker
serving the media and communications industries.
Prior to forming Broadwater & Associates, Mr. Broadwater was a Managing Director at Veronis Suhler Stevenson,
where he led that firm's investment banking coverage of the newspaper, book and educational publishing and
digital media industries. While at Veronis Suhler, Mr. Broadwater led or participated in more than $12 billion of M&A
transactions, including many of the firm's largest and most significant transactions, and handled the majority of the
firm's valuation assignments.
Before joining Veronis Suhler, Mr. Broadwater worked in the media investment banking group of E.F. Hutton & Company, prior to which he was an equity options trader at First Boston.
Bob holds a Bachelor's Degree from Yale University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. He is a regular
guest lecturer at New York University's Graduate Program in Publishing and a speaker and panelist at
media industry conferences.

Margaret V. Young
Director
Margaret Young has worked in the investment banking and financial services industries for over 20 years. She
joined Broadwater & Associates in 2006 from Quilvest USA, a global money management firm. Previously, Ms.
Young was a Director at Veronis Suhler Stevenson where she handled M&A, financing and valuation engagements
in the newspaper, book publishing, educational publishing and business-to-business publishing and exhibition
industries. She was also active in debt capital raising for several of Veronis Suhler's private equity fund portfolio
companies.
Prior to joining Veronis Suhler, Ms. Young was a Vice President and Group Executive in the media finance group of
Manufacturer's Hanover Trust, where she initiated and monitored the bank's lending to a broad range of media
companies, including cable television, book publishing, broadcasting and newspaper publishing.
Ms. Young holds a Bachelor's Degree from Smith College and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
